Imagine this….you have a promotion, a special offer, a grand opening, a new product launch, information to share with your customers and potential customers to generate more business. You’ve planned it out, the promotional content has been created, it’s posted to social media and the call to action is, “Scan this QR Code”….to make an appointment, for more information, to sign-up, yada, yada, yada.
For the love of ice cream, how are people who are on their cell phone, scrolling through social media, supposed to scan the QR Code????
Yes, there’s a multi-step process to have your phone scan an image from your photos (more work for the customer) and some people use their laptop/desktop, but let’s keep it simple and easy for your customer. If you’d like to include a QR code, also include an alternative way for people to get to the website. This might be including the URL, listing an email, or link in bio.
QR Codes on social media is just another example of how important it is to get related to your customer and what their needs are.
